Railway pioneers, your time has come!Publisher astragon Entertainment and developer Stefan Kelnberger are delighted to announce the release of Railroads Online. The sandbox railway simulation is now available as full version for Steam as well as for PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S.

In Railroads Online, you create the railroad network of your dreams alone or in a multiplayer session with up to 16 players. In a large open game world, rails, switches, and stations must be built to transport different goods in authentic locomotives. The game uses the advanced physics systems of Unreal Engine 5 to create the most authentic railroad simulation possible, rendering collisions and forces dynamically in real time for maximum immersion.
Two new DLCs are available with the release of Railroads Online. The Pioneer DLC is free to all fans who have already purchased the game in Steam Early Access or can be purchased separately. The DLC is for real railway pioneers and offers the Bell's Gap 0-6-0 locomotive, the placeable building ‘Red Mountain’ depot and a special skin for the beloved Montezuma locomotive.
With the Explorer DLC a second DLC will be released today. which lets players discover the untamed landscape of the various maps. The DLC offers the possibility to place new plants and animal species in the environment. Also included is a new caboose and a new locomotive, the powerful FE&MV 4-8-0 Mastodon.
Railroads Online is now available digitally for PlayStation®5, and Xbox Series X|S at a price of 39.99€ / $39.99 (SRP) or a regional equivalent. The game is available for PC as full version for 34.99€ / $34.99 (SRP). The Pioneer DLC (2.99€ / 2.99$) and the Explorer DLC (4.99€ / 4.99$) are available separately for all platforms. The Extended Edition includes the full version as well as both DLCs and is available in digital stores for €39.99 / $39,99 (PC) and €44.99 / $44.99 (Consoles).
On February 27, 2025, Railroads Online – Pioneer Edition for PlayStation®5 will be released in retail in selected countries. The retail exclusive Pioneer Edition contains the base game as well as the Pioneer DLC and will cost 39,99€ / 39,99$ (SRP).
