Duesseldorf/Germany, June 18, 2024 – Today, publisher astragon Entertainment and developer Aesir Interactive are launching the Highway Patrol Expansion for PC, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. This new expansion for the popular simulation game Police Simulator: Patrol Officers introduces highways, bringing a variety of new tasks and challenges for virtual police officers. Additionally, the Gold Edition is now available on all platforms. It includes the base game, the Highway Patrol Expansion, and the Garage Bundle at a special price!

Many new areas of responsibility await virtual police officers in the Highway Patrol Expansion, as the opening of the highways leads to many new offenses within the fictional state of Franklin, such as car thefts, that are now a daily challenge which must be addressed. In fast-paced chases featuring spectacular PIT maneuvers, players prevent criminals from escaping with stolen goods. New equipment such as nail strips and roadblocks aid in these pursuits and prove especially useful in multiplayer mode. Additionally, players must regularly conduct freight inspections, assist with car breakdowns, and perform high-speed checks.
Higher speeds on the highways also increase the risk of serious accidents. Major collisions can result in fires, which players must tackle using fire extinguishers. Clearing debris from the road to ensure the safe flow of traffic is another critical task.
Beyond new tasks and equipment, players will gain access to two new vehicles: The Interstate Police Vehicle, which adds a touch of vintage flair to every shift, and the Endurance Police Vehicle, equipped with a heavy-duty snare net for stopping moving vehicles.

Along with the release of the new expansion, a free update is rolling out today, bringing some of the exciting features of the Highway Patrol Expansion to all owners of the main game. In addition to enhancements to the traffic system and vehicle physics, all players can now experience the thrill of car thefts and exciting car chases occurring all over the city. Moreover, collecting debris after major accidents and providing roadside assistance for broken-down civilian vehicles are now daily tasks for all players!
The Highway Patrol Expansion is now available for PC, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series S|X and Xbox One at a price of 19.99€ / $19.99 USD or the regional equivalent. The main game is required to play. The Police Simulator: Patrol Officers Gold Edition includes the main game, the Garage Bundle, as well as the Highway Patrol Expansion, and is also now available for 39.99€ / $39.99 USD or the regional equivalent digitally for PC, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series S|X and Xbox One.
